Tiger mandala

This is my entry for the "Year of the tiger contest" at #AllThingsFractal The challenge was this :

"The fractal art should be associated with the tiger theme, either via colouration, overall visual resemblance or association, shape or some other likeness, e.g. eye of the tiger."

It was a real challenge. I sharply felt my limitations when I was working on this fractal. Trough trial-and-error and luck I hit upon a basic design that showed tiger stripes. But in order to keep the tiger stripes many possibilities to variate the fractal that I usually use were closed off. I was suddenly down to three variables : limited form manipulation, colour manipulation, and image cutting.

I'm happy I took the challenge, because I had to do my creative best with what I had. I also really wanted to make an entry for this contest to show my support for the contest she launched. Don't allow yourself to be discouraged my friend, there's plenty of people willing to be creative in order to participate to a contest. Fractal contests are cool, and we really appreciate you organising !
